How much top load can a glass container withstand? The BTLT-2 Glass Bottle Top Load Tester by AT2E tests the top load resistance of glass containers up to 20 kN, to a predefined point (trial test) or until destruction, in compliance with ISO 8113:2004.

How the test works

  • Two test types: up to a predefined point (trial test) or until destruction.

  • User-defined test cycle: up to 4 steps of load and holding time.

  • Adjustable test speed.

  • Custom-made inserts for each type of sample, for easier installation and a more accurate pressure point.

  • Real-time test curve on the touch screen; the patented trash bin collects the glass after breakage.

Product description

The BTLT-2 is an instrument for testing the top load resistance of glass containers. It is widely used by glass container manufacturers and users. As a standard testing instrument for the glass container industry, it offers manufacturers an important technical reference for maintaining or improving product quality and performance. Designed for easy operation and maintenance, it complies with the ISO 8113:2004 testing standard. The top load test is made up to a predefined point (trial test) or until destruction.
