Testing the Buckle Resistance of Beverage Cans and Can Ends with the CEBT-1
At what pressure does a beverage can dome or can end buckle? The CEBT-1 by AT2E measures this pressure resistance on cans and can ends in a fully automated cycle: place the sample, press start, and the result appears on screen. With the optional missile test unit, it can also perform the missile test on ends.
How the CEBT-1 test works
Place the sample (beverage can or can end) in the tester.
Press the start button: the test runs automatically. The pressurization speed is adjustable, and different target pressures can be set in steps.
Read the result on screen. Previous results can be reviewed, with automatic calculation of average, maximum and minimum values.
Product description
The AT2E CEBT-1 Can and End Buckle Tester was designed to test the pressure resistance of can domes and ends; it can also perform the missile test on ends. Thanks to its fully automated design, you simply press the start button once the sample is in place: the test runs automatically and the results are shown on screen. There is no need to change the clamps when testing necked-in cans of the same diameter but different heights, and for necked-in cans of different diameters, the sealing unit and clamps can be changed in a few simple steps. The user-friendly interface makes operation and maintenance simpler.
