Measuring the Leak Point of Sealed Containers with the SSA-D
Updated: 6 days ago
The SSA-D by AT2E, the standard model of the Secure Seal Analyzer, tests the secure seal performance of bottles, cans and preforms up to 16 bar. The AT2E patented needle makes installation and piercing quick and easy, and the touch screen gives direct access to the pressure and holding time settings.
How the test works
Patented needle: by vacuum technology, the AT2E needle holds itself on the tested product, so installation and piercing are quick and easy in any medium.
Pressurization: the sample is pressurized through the needle to determine its leak point (bubble point).
Pressure stages: pressure and holding time are set in 2 stages (3 stages as an option), and the pressurizing rate is adjusted with the regulator.
Safety: the stainless steel design resists any explosion during the test and protects the operator.
The SSA-D is also compatible with the needle of the classic Secure Seal Tester (typical screwed needle).
Product description
The AT2E SSA-D Secure Seal Analyzer tests the secure seal performance of products. With the AT2E patented needle, installation and piercing are very quick and easy in any medium: by vacuum technology and special design, the needle holds itself on the tested products. The SSA-D is also compatible with the needle of the classic Secure Seal Tester (typical screwed needle). Its stainless steel design makes it resistant to any explosion during the test and ensures the safety of the operator. The SSA-D is equipped with a touch screen, visual and easy to operate, and its adjustable pressure and holding time stages meet the different test requirements of various products.

Frequently asked questions
What is the primary function of the SSA-D?
The SSA-D tests the secure seal performance of bottles, cans and preforms from 0 to 16.00 bar. It determines the leak point (bubble point) of the sample, and its touch screen gives direct access to the pressure and holding time settings.
How many pressure stages can the SSA-D program?
The SSA-D sets pressure and holding time in 2 stages, with 3 stages available as an option. The pressurizing rate is adjusted with the regulator.
What sample range and air supply does the SSA-D require?
The SSA-D tests samples up to Ø126 x 365 mm. It needs a 5-8 bar pressure source for the vacuum function of the needle and a 0-16 bar pressure source for testing.
