Description :
The AT2E SCT-ECO stress-crack tester applies stress to the bottle base to determine the crack resistance of blown PET soft-drink bottles. By measuring how prone the base is to cracking when exposed to an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution in a controlled environment, it assesses the long-term behaviour of the bottles.

FAQ
What is the primary function of the SCT-ECO stress cracking tester?
The SCT-ECO applies base stress to PET carbonated-beverage bottles to determine base stress-crack propensity, exposing samples to an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution under controlled conditions to evaluate long-term bottle behavior.
What pressure range and accuracy does the SCT-ECO offer?
The SCT-ECO tests at 0 to 6 bar with ±0.5% F.S. accuracy and 0.2 bar display resolution, using a 0.200% NaOH solution as the recommended test medium.
What sample range and operating conditions does the SCT-ECO support?
The SCT-ECO accommodates samples from 60-125 mm diameter and 160-350 mm height, operating at a recommended temperature of 5-50°C with a 7-8 bar air supply.
