Description
The SCT-D Stress Cracking Tester assesses the stress-crack resistance of PET packaging, mainly blown bottles for carbonated drinks. Bottles are pressurized and their bases immersed in an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution inside a safety enclosure, so their long-term ageing can be estimated.
Options:
· Mini printer
· “QualiCrack” software

FAQ
What is the primary function of the SCT-D stress cracking tester?
The SCT-D tests stress-crack resistance of PET packaging using the same caustic-soda immersion method as the SCT-PLC, scaled to support up to 26 individually controlled test stations.
How does sample filling work on the SCT-D?
On the SCT-D, samples are filled by the operator prior to placement in the test stations, after which the system automatically adjusts pressure during the test cycle.
What construction features does the SCT-D include?
The SCT-D uses a stainless-steel chassis with anti-corrosion structure and an explosion-resistant viewing window. A mini-printer and the QualiCrack data management software are available as options.
